Doberman Rescue Unlimited - A Day in the Life
I had the pleasure of working with the staff and wonderful Dobies at Doberman Rescue Unlimited to create a photo essay that illustrates a day in the life of their amazing organization. The dedication of the staff and their impact on the lives of each Dobie is clearly evident in the eyes of each and every dog (see photos from their portrait session). The rescue is a place of hope and care created by a very special group of people to whom I am incredibly grateful.
Please donate to their organization and, if you think a Doberman is in your future and you live in the New England/New York region, consider contacting them and adopting a rescued Dobie.

For some Dobermans the Rescue will be their home for the rest of their lives. Each dog who passes away or must be put down (which is very rare) is buried in a special place below the momorial tree.

on November 8, 2008I am the proud and thankful owner of DRU dobe Savannah. She is the joy of my life! DRU has a wonderful facility that is run by the best of the best. They understand when you shed a tear when bringing a donation and yoi can see the love in all of their eyes. Thank God for DRU!

on October 18, 2008We attended a DRU open house a year ago and we were very impressed by the facility. We were torn between adopting a dru dobie and adopting the younger sister of our current dobie. We called DRU to see what they thought and we ended up adopting the sister to our current dobie, since we wanted a red female, fairly young and one that was good with other dogs and a cat. We may not have adpoted from DRU but we know for a fact that in the future our next dobie(s) will be from a rescue and hopefully from DRU.
